KOJINSHA KA1-203. 3 Element, 20m-6m Yagi
Description
VERSA BEAMS are designed and engineered 100% in Japan, with extensive performance testing conducted by many well-respected and active DXers.
Advanced IT technologies have been incorporated to ensure the most user-friendly operation from the shack.
Over a year and a half of intensive field testing-including operation in typhoon conditions- was conducted prior to the official launch of the VERSA BEAM.
Precision manufacturing is applied to all mechanical components, ensuring accurate and reliable assembly.
The top cover is angled to allow snow and ice to slide off easily.
For models covering the 7MHz band, high-Q center loading coils are employed. These allow the elements to be approximately 30% shorter than full-size elements without sacrificing performance.
The high-Q coil design ensures efficient operation, even during demanding RTTY transmissions.
When operating on 10MHz and above, the center loading coil is bypassed using a vacuum relay.
The relay’s contacts are made of a special alloy that guarantees solid, long-lasting electrical connections.
The boom is made from MIL-standard, corrosion-resistant aluminum.
Elements are secured using silicone rubber and durable plastic components.
Additionally, the fiberglass poles are painted gray to enhance weather resistance.
The 3 element KA1-203 Yagi is a very popular antenna. With a 4.8m (16 foot) boom, the antenna models that are programmed into the controller deliver solid gain and exceptional front-to-rear ratios.
This antenna also includes a "180 degree” button, and you may be surprised to hear just how good the front-to-rear really is for this antenna.
