The 3 element Yagi is the original Steppir antenna.

Using our proven technology it gives continuous frequency coverage from 13.8 to 54 Mhz. There have been many improvements over the years like the addition of a optional 40/30M rotatable dipole and our now standard electronic controller, the OptimizIR 2.0.

The 3 element Yagi with the 40/30 dipole option is our most popular antenna. With a 16 foot boom, the antenna models that are programmed into the controller deliver solid gain and exceptional front-to-rear ratios. Ask any SteppIR owner to “hit the 180” button, and you may be surprised to hear just how good the front-to-rear really is for this antenna.

The OptimizIR 2.0 on the other hand includes all of the standard features that the SDA 100 offers and in addition offers a larger full-color display, enhanced GUI, can be used on ANY SteppIR antenna, and has the capability for the user to import created antenna models. Since this controller has the memory to store extra antenna models, SteppIR has gone ahead and modeled some cool yagi antennas including a max gain, max f/r, and wide beam antenna. These come stock on the OptimizIR 2.0 for use straight away, and are viewable on a full color “power band” so it is easy and intuitive to visually determine the gain/FR weighting on the antenna model. The OptimizIR 2.0 also has the capability for full remote control as an additional option upgrade (more details and cost of upgrade to be released soon!).
